Jai Hind !

Wish you a great Independence Day !

This is a day for celebration, but also introspection. I mean real thought, real understanding, real introspection; not just repeating the same formula stories and wordy verbiage made meaningless by repetition that the newspapers TV and other media publish this time every year.

May we all realize how different our lives are today from how our ancestors lived just 60 years ago -- as "natives" with no rights who could be beaten up by the British Government's Indian policemen anytime.

Who were not allowed to enjoy movies in theatres in India which had signs like "No Dogs or Natives Allowed".

May we realize how much our ancestors sacrificed, so that we may enjoy our lives with our head held high today.

May we imbibe the same spirit of self-sacrifice and thoughtfulness about our future generations to come.

May we be willing to make sacrifices that still need to be made today to root out corruption and hooliganism from our politics.

To root out corruption and lack of respect for the law by people around us; people who killed Jessica Lal, Satyendra Dubey, Manjunathan, and others.

May we join our brave soldiers in being willing to lay down our lives to uphold the honour of our Motherland.

We civilians must not hide in our homes while criminals ruling our country go scot-free after committing one outrage after another.

The Army Navy and Air Force is disciplined; they recognize the supremacy of civilian leadership. So they sit and endure our politicians. They do not engage in coups.

We civilians must not let them down. We must come crashing down like a thousand bricks upon corruption, wherever and whenever we find it.

Lives lost in the cause of upholding the honour of the Motherland will be lives employed in a good cause.

We must all remember Khudiram, Bhagat Singh, Netaji, Lala Lajpat Rai, Mohandas Gandhi, and others like them who gave us what we have today.

If we want our children to have what we have, and more, we must be willing to make sacrifices today.

We must root out corruption, appeasement of Radical Islam in the name of Secularism, Casteism and Casteist vote bank politics, and Muslim vote bank politics.

To do any of this, Hindus first must unite. Only then will secular and moderate Muslims find the courage to join us. Only then will the Radical Islamists be defeated.

So, keep in mind, as Swami Vivekananda said "Say with Pride, I am Hindu".

Vande Mataram.

Jai Hind !
