Lallu and Rabri insult the National Anthem

Lallu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi placidly sat at an official Republic Day ceremony in Bihar on Jan 26, 2005 while the National Anthem of India was being played and everybody else was standing at respectful attention.

The legal process has failed to bring them to Justice for this crime of insulting the Nation.

And the people of India seem to hve conveniently forgotten the entire affair. About 18 months have passed since. Soon 2 years will be up.

Well, people with no memory don't get Justice.

The mainstream media has not mentioned this affair in the last year or so. Why ? Because they think nobody is interested.

Will we let them continue thinking so ?

An insult to India is an insult to your mother, to my mother. If someone insults your mother will you sit quietly and then just forget ? Not if you were the only son, or the only daughter.

With India having a billion sons and daughters, everybody thinks somebody else will take care of problems, so nobody does anything.

What an irony. A mother with a billion sons and daughters has nobody to stand up for her honour.

What a shame.

Thanks for bringing this up again. Unfortunate thing is that people in India don't want to go that extra mile and do something for getting justice and just keep forwarding emails.

Appreciate your efforts.

This is likely to be not an isolated incident. Lalu is a 'supporter' of Muslims (not excluding the Radicals) if only for vote bank considerations and not for doing any good to them most of whom are poor and uneducated and can be easily misguided especially by fanatic Islamist Mullahs. These people are taught that the national anthem of India is un-Islamic and disrespect and dishonour it in various ways. Lalu with his wife must surely be trying to impress this set of followers even by insulting the National Anthem. Such indeed are the curious ways in which democracy has been degenerated into an absurd exercise in vote bank politics for power and loot by most of our politicians today.
